Caryol Hill is the second steepest hill on the North Western Railway

. it is often called the "slow" hill, because slow goods and stopping passenger trains are often climbing it. It is situated between Vicarstown and Crovan's Gate. Bankers are required on this hill, just like on Gordon's Hill
